3 integrates the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) development environment as scripting language for any customization.

As an OPC Client,
PlantView 3
can be directly connected to Fast OPC servers and to any other OPC server compliant with the standard. Plant View 3 can also get data from databases
of different format through OLE DB.

| Integrated database editor |
To create the tags database,
PlantView 3
searches on the network for local or remote OPC servers and directly accesses their tags lists, importing some or all of them. This feature dramatically reduces the time
for development and the risk of errors.

The integrated graphic editor includes all the base objects like rectangles, ellipses, texts and so on and
more complex objects completely customizable by the developer like Alarms log, Trends, Profiles, Gauges. |
| Wide templates library |
A wide graphical objects library is available, whose objects can be inserted
in the supervision pages to help and speed up the designer's job.
It is also possible to create your own library with customized symbols, including dynamic behavior and/or VBA code. |
| Supersymbols |
A special "supersymbols" library allows the creation of arrays of object at once, including
the generation of the corresponding tags and their inclusion in the tags database. The supersymbol dramatically reduces
the time for supervision pages creation and changes.

| COM - Active X container |
PlantView 3
can directly accept in its pages Active X and COM objects, e.g. Media Player, Excel sheets and so on.

| Multilingual editor and runtime |
PlantView
3 HMI-SCADA development environment is in English as a
default language.
The development environment can be customized in any language thanks to Unicode
support that allows you to use several different alphabets including e.g. Chinese, Cyrillic, Arab, etc. Also texts in the supervision pages can be made
multilingual and can be translated in real time.

The supported data types are COM data type, that is integer, real, string and date.

Numeric and alphanumeric virtual keyboards are integrated in the system
to input data or manage password.
